- Ifeatu Melifonwu proved that he had what it takes to compete at cornerback in the ACC in 2020. Melifonwu finished the campaign tied for 6th in the league in passes defended with 10 and 5th in the ACC with 9 breakups. Kids got exceptional awareness and tackling ability. Really great at coverage too. I hate getting excited for the Lions every year but with a new regime it gives us something to hope for. I have faith there will be a Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell statue out front of Ford field in 5 years for bringing us to the superbowl lol. Absolute home run draft this year.

@@josephnewbern2717 newsflash... They were raised in identical circumstances. Not saying Ifeatu is going to be a bust i wouldnt risk it. Let me give you an example : in like 1996 somewhere around there the Saints drafted Alex Molden #11 overall he was the consensus top cb in that class and stepping on the field his 4.4 forty time immediately made him the fastest player on the saints roster at that time we were notorious for lacking speed. Kind of the opposite of Al Davis and the Raiders lol. Guy NEVER really did anything was one of saints worst busts ever. Had injury problems etc. Im scared to death the Saints draft his son Elijah Molden if he falls to them at #60 or *gasp* #28 . i personally would not draft him until like 5th round. Ive seen the Body type skill set etc. already .

I love how Holmes and Campbell are building this from the trenches inside out ..next year with the extra high picks we can draft our top wide outs and LB, and in the mean time why not bring in a couple of WR free agents on short deals like Alshon Jeffrey or Dede Westbrook to compete..We cant go into the year with Tyrell Williams ,Perriman and the Rookie St. Brown as our only primary recievers..If thats the case you can count on Hockenson or Swift to catch 50-60 passes each next year!

This is the only draft in the last 30+ years I felt my Lions nailed every pick. Will everyone from this draft have long successful careers? Not a chance. Everyone knows NFL careers are over faster than a Kim K and Kris Humphries marriage. the value of all the Lions picks, based on team need, were dead on in my opinion. But the Lions front office absolutely STOLE Melifonwu in the 3rd, Amon-Ra St Brown in the 4th, Derrick Barnes with the very next pick, and in my opinion, the biggest steal of the entire draft stealing Jermar Jefferson in the 7th. In the words of Bart Scott….”CAN’T WAIT!!!”

Seahawks shouldn't trade down if this guy is still available or a good center or O tackle. Draft talent is one of the worse it's ever been past round 4 because of a smaller draft pool and unknown medical details.
I wish some of the people in the comments saying "this guy would look good on X team" or "i want X team to draft him hes awesome" were the ones picking for their teams. That would put my team who are professional talent evaluators in a great spot to clean up on draft day lol. Like this guy telling me his Bears were in a better spot to draft Kellen Mond at #20 lol i said "go ahead,all that means is a prospect with a true 1st round grade may slide to us at #28 .Its at least a 20 pick reach for the saints at #28 how much more of a reach at #20!?
